Precise media temperature control

Our module options for temperature control guarantee precise sterilization processes and the highest media quality: In many cases, thermal stress can have a huge impact on the quality of the culture media. It is therefore important to protect temperature-sensitive media from damage due to overheating. However, a reliable temperature sensor is also essential when autoclaving large quantities of liquid to ensure the safety of your staff during autoclaving.

Media temperature control MT

The media temperature is controlled in VARIOKLAV® autoclaves via a flexible temperature sensor, which is installed directly in the reference vessel. This module option therefore guarantees efficient and precise autoclaving by automatically triggering the sterilization time via the media temperature. In this way, the target temperature can be maintained exactly throughout the entire sterilization process, so that all temperature-controlled sterilization processes can be carried out with maximum precision. MT media temperature control is already integrated in our RM and RG cooling modules.

Magnetic stirrer for liquid sterile goods

Our magnetic stirrer continuously circulates the liquid during the entire sterilization process to ensure an even temperature distribution, even in large quantities of liquid sterile goods. This minimizes the risk of temperature stratification – hot at the top, cold at the bottom – and significantly shortens the heating time so that specified sterilization times can be precisely adhered to. The thermal load caused by the sterilization process is documented via the temperature control module.
