COOLING AND FAST RECOOLING
High-quality cooling modules not only enable significantly shorter cooling times and thus higher throughput rates during sterilisation, but a high-quality recooling system also reduces the risk of hazards that can arise during the sterilisation of liquids.
An overview of all the benefits of our recooling and rapid cooling modules for laboratory autoclaves:
An overview of all the benefits of our recooling and rapid cooling modules for laboratory autoclaves:
Our MT medium temperature control system for autoclaves uses a highly flexible and robust medium sensor, which enables precise regulation of the sterilisation temperature in the medium as well as exact control of the exposure time.- Our RG radial fan has a diameter of 180 mm and operates at a power of 80 watts.
- The cooling water consumption of our cooling modules averages between 15 and 40 litres per batch.
- Technical issues such as a broken sensor or a short circuit are displayed immediately and can be quickly resolved by our service team.
Our module recommendations for cooling and recooling sterile goods:
RM cooling module for rapid cooling during the sterilisation of liquids in open vessels
For the sterilisation of liquids in open vessels and heat-sensitive items, we recommend our RM cooling module for rapid cooling, which reduces the cooling time by up to 40%. The RM cooling module operates with a stainless steel water cooling jacket integrated into the sterilisation chamber and precise media temperature control, including a media temperature sensor for precisely adjustable discharge temperatures. The module also features an integrated sterile ventilation function which, at the end of the programme, allows air to flow in via a steam-sterilisable depth filter.
RG cooling module for rapid cooling during the sterilisation of liquids in open and pressure-sealed vessels
For the sterilisation of liquids in open and pressure-sealed vessels, we recommend an RG cooling module in addition to the RM for rapid cooling, resulting in cooling phases up to 80% shorter: Our RG cooling module operates with a stainless steel water cooling jacket, a radial fan, a pressure support system using sterile compressed air, and a media temperature control system including a temperature sensor. In these programmes, recooling takes place indirectly, without spraying the sterilised items, thereby eliminating the risk of recontamination by cooling water. The module guarantees a uniform temperature profile without local overheating and is therefore ideally suited for temperature-sensitive media and vessels with higher fill levels.
RS spray cooling and RB spraying for RG cooling modules
In addition to the RG cooling module, spray cooling or misting modules can be integrated: the RS spray cooling module uses three spray nozzles to further accelerate the cooling process. In the RB irrigation module option, deionised water is introduced into the sterilisation chamber prior to the heating phase. This is then continuously circulated, heated together with the items being sterilised, and cooled again.
RB Sprinkling – in addition to RG
In the RB Sprinkling module option, deionised water is introduced into the sterilisation chamber prior to the heating phase. Throughout the entire sterilisation process, this deionised water is continuously circulated and used to sprinkle the items being sterilised. The deionised water heats up together with the items being sterilised and cools down again together with them.
Technical data
RM cooling module for rapid cooling
| Sandwich-construction cooling jacket | Double jacket outside the sterilisation chamber reduces the cooling phase by more than 40% Connection to cooling system using deionised water, softened water or on-site cooling water circuit 90% of the jacket space is cooled |
| Sterile ventilation via filter system after the end of the programme | Depth filter, = 0.2 µm, 0.1 m², hydrophobic, steam-sterilisable, retention efficiency ≥ 99.5%, pneumatic control valve |

| Sterile back pressure | During cooling, the vapour pressure drops. The pressure drop caused by the cooling of the sterilising steam is compensated for by the introduction of sterile compressed air (back pressure). The back pressure air is supplied via a pressure-resistant stainless steel filter housing. |
